Forgive my naiveté, but with the movies getting the green light, is it a given that it's all over? I only ask because people said there was hope as long as the sets weren't torn down and they're not done filming, etc. So is this it then?

Hard to say. I mean, as long as they're making the films then they'd still have the sets unstruck and all.

MGM definitely wants the show to continue. If they keep making these DVD movies then the sets will still be there. As long as MGM holds onto the space I'm sure they will keep the sets if nothing else for the occasional use on Atlantis. So who knows. If these first two films are successful we may just see more or a continued drive for a season 11. Since SG-1 was always planning on doing a movie eventually it doesn't mean we have to stop campaigning for a season 11 of some kind. When the company itself puts the allusion to wanting a season 11 on their own show's website, you know it's a good sign. :)

The fight is still going on, on the yahoo list and I'm sure the mods of this com would agree.
