From the scifi.com website:

DVD Films Get OK'd

SCI FI Channel's original series Stargate SG-1 will wrap up its 10-year run this spring, but that's not the end of the saga. Executive producer Brad Wright told TV Guide that MGM has granted a green light, and enough money, to produce two movies, most likely for DVD.

The first film will tie up most of the finale's loose threads. "It's the climax of the Ori storyline," Wright said, and will be written and directed by executive producer Robert Cooper. The second film, written by Wright, will involve time travel, and both projects should debut in the fall of 2007.

Though no deals are signed, SG-1's stars are said to be "very eager" to continue, Wright added. "They're not big-budget [films] by any definition, but for us it's pretty good," he said. "As we've proven over the years, just give us little more money and we can make pretty good television or DVDs."

Okay I really am working on getting bracelets ready to go out.  It's just taking me a little while.  So I thought I'd let everyone see what the bracelets look like.  All the bracelets have "Save Our Stargate" on one 'side' and "Keep The Iris Open" on the other.

Save Our Stargate/Keep The Iris Open bracelet!!

BIG NEWS!!!! The bracelets are here!!! FedEx just delievered them and they are GORGEOUS!!! The white lettering on the camo just makes the words pop. :)

Now, along with good news comes the bad. I can't sit up to divide up the bracelets today and will probably end up in the emergency room before the day's out. I promise I'll get the bracelets divided up and shipped out ASAP, guys. I'm sorry I can't get it done today. :( I'll try to post pictures in a few minutes.

Well I just got an email from Reminderband.com and our order has shipped!!!  It's coming FedEx Ground and I've set it up so I get an email every time something happens with the package.  Just wanted to keep everyone in the loop.  I've contacted the production office (yeah I have my connection) and I've asked where we can send something to them but didn't tell them what exactly so I'll let you know when I find that out.

Also, can everyone who pitched it to cover the extra bracelets email me off comm at lyndasty@gmail.com.  I have something I wanna ask.

We might...and I stress MIGHT...have some extras to sell but I'll let everyone know about that once I get the bracelets and get everyone's orders filled and get the cast/crew/producers' bracelets divvied up so keep an eye out.

Now returning you to your regularly scheduled S.O.S activities!  :)

EDIT: THE BRACELETS SHOULD BE HERE THIS WEEK!!!!!! They're coming FedEx Air from Hong Kong and the estimated delivery date is WEDNESDAY October 11th!!!  YAY!!!!  I am insanely happy about this!!

PLEASE put spoilers under a cut.  I'm not going to ban spoilers but PLEASE put them underneath a cut.  I will not delete these posts...yet...but if it becomes a problem, I will start restricting posting access and locking down the comm.  Also, I will not be putting restrictions on any "save Stargate" advertisements unless it gets out of hand as well.  This also goes for any Atlantis related information.  But PLEASE keep posts on the topic of saving SG1.

So I'm student teaching and I have no money and even less time, but I went out like a loyal Gater tonight to fetch Season 9, and I realized that other local fans are going to have the same problem I did. All four - Best Buy, Target, FYE and Saturday Matinee - did not have Season 9. Best Buy had space on the shelves and a sign for it, but they won't have them til Thursday!

Needless to say I came home and ordered it off Amazon. Anyone else get hit by the same brick wall today?

I hope it's ok to post this here... :)

But it has me pretty excited... *happy dance*

You can now register and have your own homepage on it... there's a whole community on there... vidders are going to love it...

This looks like a positive thing to me guys; if MGM are re-hauling the website then maybe there's hope for a season 11... or at the very least it shows that they are hearing our plea and they know the fans are out there... there's an option to put a 'Save the Show' button on your page! :D

Just cause I can't help it; I'm myblackrose there, feel free to friend/message me... ;)

First, I'm not a mod on the LJ group, even if I am over at the yahoo list. But, this is still very very important so please read it.

I don't know how many of you are on the yahoo savestargatesg-1 yahoo! group, the group that's run by the same guys who run the main web page and is basically co-ordinating the majority of the campaign (though of course, not all of it, we support but don't run the shoe box campaign for example).

If not, it's a good place to be, and in any case it's worth checking out the web site. There's a lot of info on there about what to do, and also how the campaign is being focused based on latest info.

Important posts are: HERE and HERE. I'd highly recomend reading them, they are important and about the fututure of the show and it's form.

Now, as a result one of the head Steerers, Alison, along with imput from the other steerers created a new survey that is now up. The past two were to get our own info on demographics, and also our own version of data that a network would be getting from a survey they'd issued in case it was ever needed. Not, as some thought, as some kind of scheme to get fandom infighting about which character was better than all others ect. THIS survey isn't for demographics or anything per se, and I'm not the best one to explain it (because I'm not too coherent at the moment, just woke up). The best explanation can be found HERE.

So I urge you, PLEASE FILL OUT THE SURVEY. It's very important, and could have a significent affect on the entire campaign and thus the show itself. VERY IMPORTANT. I, along with the other steerers would greatly apreciate it. It would be a good idea to read the first two links I provided first, though.

Thank you,
There's still plenty of time to purchase Season 9 from !!!  October 3rd is coming faster than I thought it would!

You can buy the disks through
Michael Shanks - Charity Bazaar, which is affiliated with Amazon.com, so an ammount of your purchase will be donated to Michael's fav charity.  You can make an order through Gateworld.net, by way of Amazon.

Amazon.com Bestsellers

I wasn't so sure if we could get Season 9 to number 1, but I think we really can! :D  At the very least, at this moment, SG-1 has a better rating than BSG Season 2.5!
